I just finished working on an audio walking tour of Charlottesville, VA's historical landscape of segregation and slavery. The project is intended to challenge how we remember (or don't) our history beyond our beloved local boy Jefferson. This clip from Joseph McGill of the Slave Dwelling Project made me stop breathing. You can hear (or take!) the whole tour for the next three weeks here.
The photo above is a 360 degree view of Sanford Burgess Slave Dwelling in Stafford County, VA taken by Encyclopedia Virginia. Check out more of their work here.
